DC Men’s Golf Ends Round Three of Championships
TERRA HAUTE, Ind. – The Yellow Jacket men’s golf team traveled to Rose-Hulman for the third day of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament and concluded the round with a mark of 338 on Saturday, May 4.

Once again, the group improved its overall play by trimming off nine more strokes from its previous round's score. Junior Mike Ross has been the anchor for the Purple and Gold in the tournament, as he shot his best 18 holes Saturday. The Bryan, Ohio, native chalked up a scorecard of 77 to end tied for 10th on the day.
Sophomore Ryan Edelbrock also came through with his best round on the links. The Delphos St. Johns High product had some difficulty with the first weekend's course in Cincinnati (93, 94 strokes), but excelled at Terra Haute by notching a season-best 82.
The Pioneers of Transylvania extended their HCAC tournament lead with a round of 293, making their total 890 with one day of play to go. The squad's exceptional play was headed by Hunter Frazier, who is the top individual scorer so far in the championships and added to his performance with a hole-in-one with on the 150-yard 13th hole today at Rea Park Golf Course.
Hanover College remains in second at 914 strokes with Mount St. Joseph following close behind at 917. DC sits in eighth place at 1,043 strokes.
Defiance returns to the links tomorrow Sunday, May 5 for the final round of the HCAC tournament at the Rea Park Golf Course in Terra Haute, Ind. Action will begin at 9 a.m.
