DC Men’s Golf Slips to Sixth at HCAC Championships
ANDERSON, Ind. – Defiance College logged its best round of the 2011 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships with a 336 in Saturday’s third round, but slipped one spot in the team standings at the Anderson Country Club.

Jace Neal continued his quest for an All-HCAC performance during his final HCAC Championships event, firing his lowest score of the event with an 80. Neal will enter Sunday's final round in a three-way tie for 10th and just two strokes outside of a coveted top-eight position.
Mike Ross will also be watching the individual standings over the final 18 holes, as the freshman finished Saturday in 21st and only one shot back of a top-20 finish.
Transylvania extended its lead on first place in the team standings and will take a 17-shot lead into the final round. Transy (956), Mt. St. Joseph (973) and Franklin (979) make up the top three, while Hanover (987), Anderson (1024), Defiance (1037), Rose-Hulman (1048) and Manchester (1066) close out the field.
Sunday's final round is set to begin at 9:30 am.
