Trio of Jackets Compete at Trine Invitational

ANGOLA, Ind. – Defiance wrapped up its final regular season tournament of the spring campaign on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets saw three individuals complete the two-round Trine Invitational in the final event prior to the HCAC Championships. 

Jace Neal led the trio of DC players to play both rounds, ending in 49th place with a two-day total of 163. Greg Vogt shot a 170 to finish in 56th and Matt Gehring carded a 171 to end in a tie for 57th. Brian Jones and Jared James each played the first 18 holes on Friday but were unable to compete on Saturday. 

The Yellow Jackets will now focus on the upcoming appearance in the HCAC Championships, which will begin on April 25 and 26 at Rose-Hulman and end with the final two rounds on May 1 and 2 at Mount St. Joseph.
