Bio
Matthew Woods will be in his second season with the Defiance College men’s basketball team in 2020-21 as an assistant coach.
Woods, a graduate of Barton College, competed as a member of the Bulldogs men's basketball team where he received NABC Honors Court honors.
While at Barton, Woods appeared in 121 career games averaging 24 minutes per contest. The North Carolina native also served as an athletic trainer for Barton College where he assisted with lifting techniques and strength development. Furthermore, Matthew honed his skills while serving as a basketball trainer where he was responsible for managing workout sessions and helping to train and promote the Sports Performance brand.
Woods is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree.
