Jordan and Andrew earn All-HCAC honors for Men's Basketball
Defiance men's basketball senior's Marell Jordan and Tyler Andrew have earned All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors for their outstanding play this season. Jordan was named First-Team All-HCAC and Andrew was named Honorable Mention.
Defiance men's basketball senior's Marell Jordan and Tyler Andrew have earned All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors for their outstanding play this season. Jordan was named First-Team All-HCAC and Andrew was named Honorable Mention.
Jordan led the Yellow Jackets and was third in conference averaging 18.9 points per game. He also grabbed a career-high 5.7 rebounds per game, dished out a career-best 3.2 assists per game, and tied a career-high and was second in the HCAC with 2.3 steals per game. Jordan scored a career-high 33 points in a game vs. Miami-Hamilton in the beginning of the season and became the 49th member of the Defiance men's basketball program to join the 1,000 point club when crossed the mileston against Earlham. He also received HCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors during the season.
Jordan earns his third All-HCAC accolade of his career after being named Second-Team the past two seasons.
Andrew finished his senior campaign averaging 12.6 points per game and recording 6.5 rebounds per game, where he was top ten in the conference. He ended the season wiht a 55.3 field goal percentage and a free-throw percentage of 70.8.
Andrew also receives his first All-HCAC selection for his four-year career with the Defiance men's basketball program.
