Men's basketball defeated by Miami-Hamilton

The Defiance men's basketball team saw their late comeback attempt fall short as they were handed their first loss of the season by Miami-Hamilton, 89-84.

• Senior Marell Jordan led Defiance with a career-high 33 points, nine assists, and five rebounds.
• Freshman Landen Swanner chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds.
• Junior Jerome Johnson added 15 points off the bench going 5-9 on three-pointers.

• Miami-Hamilton opened the game on a 22-8 run over the first 10 minutes of play to establish an early lead.
• The Harriers continued to control the period and took a 44-30 lead into halftime.
• The Yellow Jackets battled back in the final minutes with a 16-5 run to end the game but came up short, falling 89-84.
• Miami-Hamilton slightly out-rebounded the Yellow Jackets 35-32.
• Defiance went 10-10 from the free-throw line led by Jordan who went 9-9.
