Men's Basketball Releases 2018-19 Schedule

DEFIANCE,OHIO – The Defiance College Men's Basketball team is set to open the 2018-19 season with an exhibition game at Concordia, Mich. on Thursday, Nov. 1.

The Purple and Gold then travel to Adrian on Saturday, Nov. 10 before returning to DC for their home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 13 with non-conference opponent Olivet.

The Yellow Jackets will also compete as part of the Westminster Tip-Off Classic on Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17 taking on Westminster and Thiel, respectively.

DC will close out the early portion of its non-conference schedule with games at Oakland on Monday, Nov. 19 and Ohio Northern on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

Defiance opens Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday, Dec. 1 with Rose-Hulman, followed by games with Manchester on Wednesday, Dec. 5 and Franklin on Saturday, Dec. 8.

The Purple and Gold will travel to Hanover on Saturday, Dec. 15 before entering the holiday break.

The Yellow Jackets will return to the hardwood on Friday, Dec. 28 with the 44th Annual Purple & Gold Tournament featuring non-conference opponents Heidelberg, Penn St.-Behrend and Geneva.

DC returns to Conference action on Wednesday, Jan .2 at Anderson before coming home to the Karl H. Weaner Center for a match-up with Transylvania on Saturday, Jan. 5.

Defiance closes out the opening round of HCAC play with Bluffton on Wednesday, Jan. 9, Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, Jan. 12 and Earlham on Wednesday, Jan. 16.

The final game of the regular season will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16 against Hanover with the HCAC Tournament being slated for Feb. 19-24.
