Bio

Morris Lolar enters his first season as a member of the Defiance College football staff for the 2018 season.
 
Lolar comes to Defiance after a head coaching stint at Bethel College. Prior to Bethel, the Kansas native served as the defensive coordinator for Independence Community College. 
 
He was also a member of the Wichita Wild, who participated as part of the Indoor Football League where he held the role of head coach. Under his tenure, the team won the IFL Championship. Lolar has also had defensive coaching stints at Friends University, Texas A&M-Commerce, Wichita East High School as well as Wichita North High School.
 
Lolar was a two-time First Team All-American defensive back for Friends University and All-City player at Wichita South High School. He also signed a contrat with the Kansa City Cheifs for the 1993 NFL season. Upon being released from the Cheifs, he went on to play professionally for six years in the Canadian Football League where he helped lead the Edmonton Eskimos to the Grey Cup in 1993. Lolar is the only native Wichitan to be part of a Grey Cup Championship team. 
 
Morris graduated from Friends University with a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management in 2008 and a Masters in 2010. He is an inductee in the Friends University, Wichita Sports Hall of Fame, and Kansas Indoor Football Hall of Fame.
