The Defiance football team celebrated Senior Day against HCAC rival Bluffton on Saturday afternoon, 30-12.

Notable: Prior to the start of the game, seniors Rigo Villa, Amin Shaheed, Justin Caballero, Maurice Brewer, Dominic Fannin, and Colton Hines were honored and recognized for Senior Day.
Inside The Numbers
- Sophomore Tyshaun Freeman led the Defiance offense with 120 rushing yards on 21 carries and averaging 5.7 yards per carry. He also led the receivers with three catches for 20 yards.
- Junior Seth Pearson threw one touchdown pass and added 14 yards on the ground.
- Junior Machari Bighams caught three balls for 16 yards.
- Freshman Ethan Goss snatched one receiving score.
- Junior Thomas Coltrain led the Yellow Jacket defense with 11 tackles including two tackles-for-loss for seven yards.
- Brewer added ten tackles, including one sack and 2.5 tackles-for-loss for nine yards. He also forced one fumble.
- Caballero recorded nine tackles during the game.
- Sophomore Richard Pope IV chipped in seven tackles for Defiance.

- Blake Rine led the Bluffton offense with 171 passing yards and throwing two touchdowns.
- Ethan Beringer notched 65 receiving yards on four catches and grabbed two scores.
- Stephen Kosakowski and Louden Saulbeamer led the Beavers defense with seven stops.
The Difference
- Bluffton got the scoring started in the first quarter with a 26-yard touchdown pass from Rine to Beringer to make it, 7-0.
- Early in the second quarter, Bluffton kicker Jake Baumgartner made a 22-yard field goal to increase the Beaver lead to 10-0.
- Markevich nailed back-to-back field goals in the second quarter to the cut the deficit 10-6.
- Bluffton ended the first half with a 29-yard touchdown pass from Rine to Beringer and take a 17-6 halftime lead.
- The Beavers went on a 13-0 run to in the second half to increase their lead.
- The Yellow Jackets got a late score off a nine yard touchdown pass from Pearson to Goss.
