Football to Open 2019 Season on the Road
DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College football program is set to hit the road to begin the 2019 season under the direction of second year head coach Manny Matsakis.
DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College football program is set to hit the road to begin the 2019 season under the direction of second year head coach Manny Matsakis.
The Yellow Jackets will begin the season with a pair of trips north. DC will visit Albion in the season-opener on September 7 before traveling to Hope on September 14.
Defiance adds a new experience to the schedule with a matchup under the lights on Thursday, September 19. DC will take on Manchester in a nonconference battle at Defiance High School.
The always challenging HCAC gauntlet will begin with a pair of away games at Anderson on September 28 and Mount St. Joseph on October 5.
Defiance returns to Justin F. Coressel Stadium on October 12 as defending HCAC Champions Hanover College visit campus. The game will feature as part of the 2019 Homecoming festivities.
Back-to-back road trips to perennial powers Franklin and Rose-Hulman on October 26 and November 2 will wrap up the away schedule for the program.
Manchester will return to campus, this time for an HCAC clash, on November 9. DC will end the year with a home battle with rival Bluffton on November 16.
