Pair of Yellow Jackets Shine at National Bowl

Seniors Greg Ward, Jr. (Ypsilanti, Mich.) and Markell Moncrief (Detroit, Mich./Southfield Lathrup) played in front of over 30 National Football League and Canadian Football League scouts and general managers, including representatives from 13 NFL teams, in hopes to get noticed by professional scouts with other Division II, Division III, and NAIA players.
Ward shined for the American team, who finished the contest with four tackles, tied for top honors on the team. One of Ward's tackles was a sack that knocked the offense back five yards. He also finished with a pass breakup.
Playing for the National team, Moncrief made two tackles and recovered a fumble.
The American team rolled to a 48-13 victory over the National team.
