Brad Wilson joins the Defiance College Football coaching staff this spring as an assistant coach, working primarily with the offensive line.
Wilson comes to Defiance after spending the past season as the offensive line coach at Eastern Michigan University. At EMU, he helped coach an offensive line squad that led a 1900-yard rushing attack and 2100-yard passing attack in his only season with the Eagles.
Prior to his time at EMU, Wilson spent three seasons as the run game coordinator/offensive line coach at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo. Wilson joined the Skyhawks as the offensive line and strength coach prior to the 2010 spring season. During his first season with FLC, he helped the Skyhawk passing game amass 2,807 yards, 271 completions and 20 touchdowns. Two of his offensive lineman received postseason awards, including Luke Geller (third team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) and Brent Banker (RMAC All-Academic).

Prior to his time at San Diego State, he served as graduate assistant and assistant offensive line coach at his alma mater, Ball State University. During his time as the offensive graduate assistant in Muncie, Ind., the Cardinals reached two consecutive bowl appearances (International Bowl in 2008, GMAC Bowl in 2009) and recorded a perfect 12-0 campaign in 2008.
Wilson helped with the development of three lineman who earned spots on NFL rosters: Robert Brewster (a fifth round draft pick by the Dallas Cowboys), Dan Gerberry (a free agent signee by the Detroit Lions) and Andre Ramsey (a free agent pick-up by the Buffalo Bills).
Wilson played tight end at Ball State from 2002-06. A native of Muncie, Ind., he received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Ball State University in 2006 and 2010, respectively.
