DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College offensive line coach, Olmy Olmstead, recently spoke at the 41st-Annual Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Clinic on January 17 through January 19.
A number of well-accomplished coaches joined Olmstead with speaking roles, including Michigan's Brady Hoke, Michigan State's Mark Dantonio and Western Michigan's P.J. Fleck, as each presented their coaching philosophies and ideas to the MHSFCA membership at the clinic.
Coach Olmstead's presentation focused on developing qualities on and off the field in his offensive linemen, and touched on key schemes within DC's offensive attack. The Yellow Jackets averaged 196.9 rushing yards per game last season against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponents behind Olmstead's front line.
Defiance will open the 2013 campaign at Albion on Saturday, September 7, with the home opener on the newly installed field turf surface at Justin F. Coressel Stadium slated for September 14 against Adrian.
