DC Football Places Four on NCAA Division III All-Ohio Team

Leverenz, Pickett and Forry added the honor after they were each named First-Team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference at the end of the 2012 campaign. The trio anchored DC's defensive unit that ranked second in the league in total defense and rushing defense.
Leverenz ended his junior season ranked first among all HCAC student-athletes with 10.5 sacks and 21 tackles for a loss from his defensive end slot, while adding 51 total stops and seven quarterback hurries. The Clinton, Mich., native ranked ninth in the nation during the regular season in tackles for lost yardage and 15th in sacks during his breakout campaign.
Pickett closed his outstanding career with the Yellow Jackets with 64 tackles, 2.5 sacks and six hits for negative yardage. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native also forced a pair of fumbles and recovered another from his nose tackle position.
Forry started nine games at strong safety, before starting at free safety during his final collegiate outing with the Purple and Gold. The Bowling Green, Ohio, native notched his best season with the Jackets in 2012, posting a team-leading 65 tackles and three interceptions.
Spence rounded out the list of Yellow Jackets to be named Third-Team All-Ohio, netting his first postseason honor of the year after averaging 37.3 yards per punt during his junior season with Defiance. The Three Rivers, Mich., native pinned the opposition inside their own 20-yard line on 16 of his 54 punts, and boomed five kicks of over 50 yards.
