Snyder closed his career with the Purple and Gold with his finest season on the gridiron and ranked 11th in the nation with 11.9 tackles per outing. Along with his Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference leading and career-best 119 hits, Snyder also led the league with 13 passes defended and tied for second among all HCAC players with three interceptions in seven conference games.
The Martin, Mich., native earned First Team All-HCAC honors for his standout season and set a Defiance College record by reaching 174 assisted tackles for his career. Snyder's other season highlights included earning a pair of HCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week honors and being named to D3football.com's National Team of the Week for his efforts in DC's, 21-13, win over Anderson on Oct. 25.
Snyder helped Defiance to four-straight victories to end the 2008 campaign. The four wins lifted the Jackets to a 4-3 record in the HCAC and their fourth-straight year with a winning record in league action.
