Snyder was honored for his efforts in DCs loss at Franklin. The junior did everything in his power to slow down a potent Grizzly offense, picking off a trio of passes, forcing a fumble and piling up a game-high 10 tackles. The three interceptions tied a Defiance College single-game record and led to a pair of Yellow Jacket scores.
Snyders first interception came early in the first quarter and his 20-yard return led to an eventual Yellow Jacket field goal which trimmed the deficit to 7-3. The Martin, Mich., native then picked off his second pass of the game to end the second quarter and another Franklin scoring threat. Snyders third and final interception came late in the fourth and led to DCs third touchdown of the game.
Snyder now leads Defiance with 96 tackles and has also racked up five hits for negative yards, three interceptions, five passes defended, one forced fumble and a blocked kick this season.
Snyder and the Jackets (5-4, 4-2 HCAC) will look to close out the season on a high note when they host Bluffton on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
