DC Student-Athletes Honored with National Service Award
DEFIANCE, Ohio For the second time in three years, a group of Defiance College student-athletes has earned a Community Service Award from the National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators and Jostens. Eighteen institutions and/or conferences across the country are being recognized for the impressive community service projects performed by their student-athletes during the 2006-07 academic year.

Dillon and Team USA Defeat Mexico to Win Aztec Bowl
CHIHUAHUA, Mexico -- The United States ground game chewed up 7:37 on 16 plays over two fourth quarter scoring drives to outlast Mexico, 37-19, at the 2007 Aztec Bowl in Chihuahua, Mexico on Saturday. Team USA is now 10-1 against Mexico in the series.

DC's Dillon named to 2007 Aztec Bowl Squad
WACO, Texas -- Defiance wide receiver Luke Dillon has been selected to play for the American Football Coaches Associations Division III all-star team that will represent the United States against the Mexican National Team in the 2007 Aztec Bowl on December 8 in Chihuahua, Mexico.

HCAC Honors 12 Jackets, Names Dillon Co-Offensive Most Valuable Player
GREENWOOD, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its All-Conference Teams recently and 12 Defiance players made the list. DC had seven student-athletes named First Team All-HCAC, while five others were named Second Team or Honorable Mention.

Jackets Stumble to Season-Ending Loss
DEFIANCE, Ohio -- Defiance had its Senior Day spoiled by Bluffton on Saturday, as the Beavers rallied from 14-3 and 21-10 deficits to hand the Jackets a 22-21 defeat. DC saw its lead slip away after a trio of turnovers in the second half opened the door for the Bluffton comeback.

Snyder's Career Day Overshadowed in Loss to Franklin
FRANKLIN, Ind. -- Keith Snyder tied a Defiance College single-game record with three interceptions and Luke Dillon added two more records, but it was not enough to keep pace with a potent Franklin squad. The No. 21 Grizzlies ended DCs HCAC title hopes by handing the Jackets a 55-22 loss on Saturday.

DC Football Drops Defensive Struggle at MSJ
CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Defiance and Mount St. Joseph hooked up on Saturday with a potential HCAC Championship on the line. Each side proved why they were in the title hunt, showcasing outstanding defense throughout before MSJ finally dented the scoreboard with 5:24 to play. The Lions would go on from there to take the 10-0 victory.

GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Alex Bonilla connected on all four of his field goal attempts in DCs 33-7 win over Hanover College on Saturday, and has been selected as the HCAC Special Teams Player of the Week. The award is the second for Bonilla this season.

Jackets Score 26 Unanswered in 33-7 Rout of Hanover
DEFIANCE, Ohio -- Defiance dominated Hanover in all aspects of the game over the final three quarters on Saturday, turning a 7-7 tie after one quarter into a 33-7 victory. The Yellow Jackets piled up 368 yards of rushing offense en route to 551 yards and 25 first downs.

Dillon Bags Second-Straight HCAC Weekly Honor
GREENWOOD, Ind. -- For the second week in a row and third time this season, Luke Dillon has been selected as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The All-American candidate chased down four touchdown passes and had 173 yards receiving as Defiance surged past Anderson, 34-7, on Saturday.

Defiance Stays Hot, Rolls Past Anderson 34-7
ANDERSON, Ind. -- Defiance College racked up well over 400 yards of total offense for the third-straight game and raced past Anderson for a 34-7 road victory on Saturday. The win was DCs third-straight victory and kept the Jackets tied with Franklin atop the HCAC standings.
