Defiance Baseball Announces Camp Schedule

DEFIANCE, OHIO - Head Coach Derek Woodley and the Defiance College baseball program have announced the dates for their clinics for the winter months.
Over the holiday break, DC will host a pair of holiday hitting clinics as well as a skills camps on December 27, 28, and 30. The hitting clinics are scheduled for 1-3 p.m. on December 27, 10 a.m. to noon on December 28, and 12-2 p.m. on December 30. The holiday hitting camp to be held on December 27 and 30 is $30 dollars apiece, while the little hitters camp is offered at a reduced rate of $25 dollars to be held inside the George M. Smart Center.
Entering into January, the baseball program will host a three-day hitting camp on three consecutive Sundays. On January 13, 20, and 27 from 3-5 p.m., those in grades 3-12 can prepare for the upcoming season with six hours of hitting instruction. By enrolling in the Hitting School, you will receive extensive instruction and practice by completing a series of drills that will focus on proper technique and fundamentals of hitting. The cost is $35 per single session or $90 to sign up for each of the three sessions.
The Yellow Jackets will also be teaming up with the Defiance High School to host the Pitching and Catching School on January 13, 20, and 27 from noon to 2 p.m. The cost is $90 for all three sessions or $35 for an individual session.
On Saturday, February 9 at 12 p.m., DC baseball will host a three-hour instructional camp for for pitchers and catchers. In this time, catchers will receive instruction on receiving, blocking, and throwing techniques while pitchers will go through drills, demonstrations, and lectures about the fundamentals of pitching. The cost of this camp is $45 per person.
