Bio

Shelby Hutchins is in her second year as an assistant athletic trainer at Defiance College, working primarily with women's soccer and baseball.

Hutchins, a Temperance, Mich. native, graduated in May of 2016 from the University of Toledo where she earned a Bachelor's degree in athletic training. While at UT, Hutchins was an athletic training student where she worked primarily with the swimming & diving, women's basketball, track and field and football teams. She also assisted locally at Rogers High School.

Hutchins has experience working camps as a first responder and team leader throughout her undergraduate studies. She worked the University of Toledo Gatorade Camps in June-July of 2015. 

While at Defiance, Hutchins will be working towards her master's in business. As an athletic trainer, she will primarily be working with the women's soccer and baseball teams.
