Six Yellow Jackets recognized on Fall Sportsmanship Team

CARMEL, Ind. - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) has announced the sportsmanship teams for the fall competition. The HCAC All-Sportsmanship Award is named in honor of former HCAC Commissioner, Christopher M. Ragsdale who served as the Commissioner from 2009 to 2018. Members of the All-HCAC Sportsmanship team are selected by the coaches and their teammates as individuals who demonstrate the ideals of positive sportsmanship both on and off the field/court of competition. Nominees must have demonstrated consistently the values of respect, and integrity in his or her daily participation in intercollegiate athletics. 

Six Yellow Jackets have been selected for this award and they are listed below.

Men's Cross Country:

Sophomore Gavin Maratea (Westmont, Illinois)

Women's Cross Country:

Freshman Shyla Pemberton (Dayton, Ohio)

Football:

Senior Seth Pearson (Fort Wayne, Indiana).

Men's Soccer:

Sophomore Adam Tobin (St. Mary's, Ohio)

Women's Soccer:

Junior Logan Gray (Elyria, Ohio)

Volleyball:

Senior Mackenzie Umbaugh (Plymouth, Indiana)
