Hartman Selected to Represent Defiance for NCAA Woman of the Year
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Recent Defiance College graduate Jackie Hartman (Parma) has been selected to represent the Purple and Gold for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award following an outstanding career with the Yellow Jackets.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Recent Defiance College graduate Jackie Hartman (Parma) has been selected to represent the Purple and Gold for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award following an outstanding career with the Yellow Jackets.
Hartman was a part of an NCAA record-setting 585 nominations.
As a member of the Defiance softball team, Hartman was named Second Team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference for her impressive performance throughout the 2019 season.
The four-year letter winner appeared in 155 career games for the Yellow Jackets with 124 hits, registering a .271 batting average. She tallied 458 at-bats with 25 doubles and 15 homeruns, ranking her second all-time. The senior finished her decorative career with 94 RBI, ranking her fourth all-time.
In the field, the second baseman had 370 putouts with a .966 fielding percentage.
Hartman graduated from Defiance College with a double major in Sport Management and Business Administration.
